W124 - Fuel pump, fuel filter, trunk lid rubber, power window lifter and door lock actuator replaced

Executive Summary: Replacement of fuel pump, fuel tank, rear trunk rubber, FR door lock actuator, and RL power window lifter Details: 5 Dec 2020, I visited the mechanic to get a few items replaced. It was previously diagnosed that the fuel pump is faulty. He told me that the fuel pump was very hot during regular operation and it should not be. Apart from that, I had difficulties in starting the car on a cold start. The idling was also not stable. I opted to replace the fuel filter along as the previous one was contaminated with stale fuel from the replacement tank fitted into Rhino. I also took the opportunity to replace the fuel pump hanger rubber, as this would reduce the labor at a later part. The fuel hoses were replaced as well as they are old. It looks like the fuel pump has never been replaced since the car was new and I replaced it with the original one. W124 - Making Rhino a little more comfortable with a new head unit, speakers and electric antenna

Executive Summary: Making Rhino more comfortable by replacing the head unit, installing an electric antenna, and replacing the dashboard speakers. Details: 23 Nov 2020, As soon as I got Rhino back from the body works, I took it to have the audio worked on, from the previous works, I wanted to have the electric antenna refitted. The audio also needs some work as at the moment, only one side of the speaker is working and a bunch of other cables needed to be cleaned up. The setup was intended to be simple to allow me to have some music when I drive and nothing sophisticated. To begin with, the head unit was replaced with the Alpine CDA 9887 head unit that I had purchased before. The speakers in the dash were also replaced with cheap Blaupunkt speakers, an electric antenna was fitted and lastly, I replaced a bulb in the trunk to allow the rear to be illuminated properly.
