W124 - Transfer of Ownership using MySikap
Executive Summary: A short entry on documents needed to obtain a copy of the VOC (vehicle ownership certificate) from the JPJ. Details: I was out at the JPJ to get the registration card, I think its now called the VOC. I have completed the online transfer of ownership via the MySikap portal and thought that all I needed to do was show up and present my IC to obtain the VOC. The Shah Alam JPJ was packed and I decided to go to the Shah Alam UTC instead. After queuing for about 30 minutes, my turn came up. At the counter, I was declined because I did not have the receipt copy for the transfer and photocopy of my IC. I was under the pretext that all that is needed is my IC and they should be able to see the transactions and details but apparently I was wrong. I will have to return to the JPJ again, to get the VOC and prepare all the required documents.
